The Soundings Yacht and Tennis Club was created in 1974. Currently there are 153 home sites in The Soundings, and as of January 2007, there are 150 homes built or under construction. The residents of the community have access to a private boat ramp and a boat slip reservation may be available for the few homes that do not have direct waterfront access. Other amenities include a clubhouse, swimming pool, and tennis courts.
